Our goal on this page is to give you a relatively laymen's explanation of the science behind Energy Plus. For a more thorough and technical explanation of the colloid, check out the wikipedia page on colloids.

The colloid is one of the most unique substances in nature with its ability to isolate and neutralize pollutants. The colloidal molecules remove and prevent surface tension and cause total suspension of each particle. This prevents hydrocarbons and other chemical pollutants from adhering to each other and to surfaces. The colloid molecule encapsulates every particle; this action takes place with most forms of chemical and petroleum based pollutant. As this process begins, the encapsulated particles will increase in size. Once each molecule is encapsulated the colloid acts as a friction release and prevents adhesion to any other surface and to other particles. The colloid molecules then break each particle down into separate micelles which are then biodegradable and ecologically safe.

The exact speed of biodegradation is difficult to measure as each particle is slightly different. Once encapsulated, the natural course of biodegradation begins and is affected by environmental factors such as sunlight and humidity.

What can be measured is the amount of time needed for a given size of a pollutant to be neutralized and made environmentally safe. That time changes with the amount of pollutant and the amount of the Energy Plus liquid introduced.

With any given pollutant situation, the amount of Energy Plus product introduced would generally be enough to make the pollutant environmentally safe within seven days and totally biodegraded within twenty one days. The exact amount of Energy Plus product needed is based on three primary factors.

  1. Amount of pollutant
  2. Type of pollutant
  3. The environment of the pollutant

The colloid molecules are organic and are produced naturally. One of their unique qualities is their ability to work in extreme temperatures. The colloids work in a very wide range of temperatures from extreme heat to extreme cold. These naturally occurring colloids are unique among organic substances in that they continue to exist and work in extreme environments. Other types of organic substances are incinerated in the temperature range of 350 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. At the other extreme, most organic substances become a frozen mass when exposed to sub zero temperatures. Colloid molecules remain active in temperatures ranging from subarctic to well over a thousand degrees Fahrenheit.

The colloidal molecule has been around since plant life appeared on the planet. The natural process of biodegradation is so intricate and complex that we have just recently begun to understand it. Colloids have been neutralizing environmental pollutants since before man. Our understanding of this natural process has progressed to the point that we are now able to utilize this natural cleaning process and apply it in such a way that it is environmentally safe for man, fish, fowl, vegetation, and other wildlife.

Water is the main activator for the colloidal molecules and the type of water will not have any adverse affect on the colloidal reaction. Fresh water, distilled water, or sea water all can be used. The colloids will control and encapsulate pollutants regardless of what type of water they are suspended in or the temperature of the water or atmospheric temperature.

Colloids do not give off any form of toxic odors even when combined with pollutants. The colloids will encapsulate and biodegrade even airborne pollutants, making them inert and environmentally safe.

Colloids can be used to clean in almost any environmental situation. Soil and water can be cleaned where they are. Even airborne pollutants can be neutralized by atomizing the colloids and introducing them in a gaseous form. This reaction of colloidal pollution control eliminates the need to transport polluted soil and water from one area to another.

Carbons, fossil fuels and chemical pollutants can be neutralized by the colloidal molecules and made environmentally safe. Once treated, the pollutants can be safely disposed of without the need for designated sites for contaminated substances.

The storage life of colloid molecules is essentially indefinate due to the fact that they simply remain dormant while suspended in moisture. They become active again as soon as they are exposed to pollutants.

WATER CHEMISTRY

Chemical impurities affecting the pH balance of water in water cooling systems is the primary reason for failure within those systems. The proper use of the Energy Plus group of products neutralizes impurities and will maintain a neutral pH balance within the range of 9.4 to 11.4 pH. This will prevent flow accelerated corrosion and maintain a constant steam and water flow rate.

WATER IMPURITIES

Energy Plus 180 Super C removes impurities from water. It is effective on all forms of acids and hydroxides including chlorides, chlorine, ammonia, alkalize, and calcium.

This cleaning process is eco friendly and produces no toxic fumes. Once properly introduced into the water system and given time to work, the Energy Plus products insure a neutral pH balance is maintained.

This neutral pH level can be maintained not only in regular water flow systems, but is effective in low and high pressure. Because it is colloid based, it is also effective in steam systems including:

  • low pressure steam systems
  • high pressure steam systems
  • critical steam systems
  • supercritical steam systems
  • and ultra supercritical steam systems

WATER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

The Energy Plus family of products is organic and biodegradable. They are able to encapsulate and biodegrade many pollutants. They are eco friendly and safe to handle without the need for protective clothing. Because of their ability to encapsulate pollutants and prevent surface friction, water flow systems properly treated with Energy Plus show a flow increase and allow for a more effective system at a lower pressure, thereby lowering the strain on the entire system.

Fraccing Fluid

Hydraulic fracturing which is also called fracing, fraccing, fracking, hydrofracking and hydro-fracing is the process of forcing water into the ground to open better access to oil reserves. The fluid used in this type of operation is known as fraccing fluid and is mixed with water and forced into the ground under high pressure, the water used in this process becomes toxic and is difficult to dispose of. Typically the toxins that are present in the fraccing fluid include barium, calcium, sodium, chlorides, chlorines, methane, strontium, bicarbonates, magnesium and benzene. Along with those chemicals, there is also an organic compound called H2S that is a highly toxic substance that becomes gaseous once it is removed from the ground.

At the end of this process, the fraccing fluid is removed and transported offsite where it is injected into deep, unused wells where it will remain toxic for decades and can endanger the water table. The Energy Plus product line can neutralize all of the toxins introduced into the water during the fraccing process and leaves the water safely able to be recycled and reused.
